KÃ¼rÅŸat Ã‡Ä±nar is European Union Marie Curie Fellow at Bilkent University, Department of Political Science and Public Administration. He received his M.A. in Economics from New York University (NYU); Ph.D. in Political Science from the Ohio State University (OSU). His alma mater is Middle East Technical University, Turkey. His SSCI journal publications appeared in Democratization, Political Studies, Contemporary Politics, Mediterranean Politics, Journal of Balkan and Near Eastern Studies, and Turkish Studies. He is the recipient of several prestigious awards and fellowships, including the European Union Marie Curie Fellowship, SakÄ±p SabancÄ± International Research Award, the OSUâ€™s Distinguished University Fellowship, Fulbright Fellowship toward a Masterâ€™s degree in Economics at NYU. His research interests center on party politics, democratization, patron-client relationships, and development.

Selin AkyÃ¼z is a Research Fellow at Bilkent University Ihsan DoÄŸramacÄ± International Advanced Studies Centre. AkyÃ¼z obtained her Bachelorâ€™s degree from the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Bilkent University and her Masterâ€™s degree from the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Hacettepe University. She completed her doctoral studies in 2012 in the Department of Political Science at Bilkent University. During her doctoral studies, AkyÃ¼z got a research fellowship from the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) and completed her research at University of Oslo, Centre for Gender Studies as a visiting researcher. AkyÃ¼z also conducted her post-doctoral research on gendered perceptions of migration at University of Oxford, International Gender Studies Centre at Lady Margaret Hall. She also participated in ethnographic researches on gender equity, women empowerment, localities, and post-migratory experiences. Her major research interests center on critical studies on men and masculinities, political sociology, Turkish politics, and migration.
